and share their story
Jo Bangles has over 15 years experience connecting community, empowering people and enabling them to actively participate with passion and purpose. She has championed diversity and inclusion in over 5 countries leading the charge for visibility and is on a mission to pass her learnings onto the next generation of leaders.
After overcoming trauma, addiction, poor mental health and lack of self worth, Jo Bangles has transformed her life to become one of the most recognisable leaders in the Australian LGBTIQ community.
The Jo Bangles story is raw, real, confronting and emotive.
We engaged Jo to speak to our team members virtually about her intersectional experience as a LGBTIQ+ woman growing up in regional Victoria, why inclusion is vital to cultivating innovation and how to be good allies for our LGBTIQ+ community at ENGIE.
Jo’s passion and energy came through the screen and she presented an interactive journey over Microsoft Teams. Her storytelling is powerful, real and raw, and we appreciated the time taken by Jo to share some insights to our team members in the QANDA at the end of the presentation.
We thank you for sharing your story with us, we received great feedback from across our business for an incredibly moving and informative presentation
